Please note that the only amount which is deducted from your credit card is the amount reflected in the invoice. The amounts which the bank authorises MSC to charge to your credit card referred to in clause 10. 5 are not deducted from your credit card account but are put on hold by your bank typically for a period of up to 15 to 20 working days after the Cruise has ended so that there are funds available to pay to MSC the amount of your invoice. There is no commitment or guarantee given or booking in place when a Booking Confirmation is generated by MSC’s system, whether or not the potential customer/ passenger effects payment of any amount or price quoted or indicated therein. The booking shall only be regarded as firm and binding once a Final Booking Confirmation is sent after verification by MSC of the details of the booking and payment has been received by MSC, which is to be sent by electronic means, usually within 72 (seventy-two) hours of the Booking enquiry or soon as reasonably possible. MSC Cruises’ latest network shift features 9 new routes launching summer 2025
On bookings made by May 31, 2021 for sailings on or before September 30, 2022, MSC is offering Total Cruiseflex, that allows cancellation and rebooking (but not refunds) up to 48 hours before cruising. When flying to a cruise port, it is essential that you book your flights at least one day before your ship is scheduled to depart. For example, if your passport is expired and you can’t cruise, you will not qualify for a refund. This is why it is important to check your passport's expiration date as soon as possible. If you realize that it's expired a few days before your cruise, you might be out of luck. Work, health, or any number of other things can pop up and change our plans, but no one wants to waste their hard-earned vacation money, regardless of the reason.
Step 6: Confirm the cancellation
For shore excursions that are booked online, please check the appropriate check box confirming that you have read and understood the terms and conditions. Please note that if English is not your first language then it is your responsibility to ensure that you have clearly understood these terms and conditions. MSC further specifies that cancelation charges are assessed on total fares, which include the cruise fare, air add-ons, hotel packages, and any other additional services arranged through MSC Cruises. Review the information provided on the confirmation page carefully. It will typically include details such as the cancellation date, any cancellation fees, and the refund or credit policy for your booking.
1.6 Please take note that the Contract of Carriage and STCs may refer to and incorporate the law of the country of the Carrier, the law of the place the contract is concluded, another chosen law stipulated in the contract and/or International Conventions, as well as limit or exclude the liability of the Company and/or Carrier and limit your legal rights. 27.1 Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy of the brochure and/or of the Official Website content but certain changes and revisions may take place after the printing of MSC Cruises brochure and/or the publishing of the Official Website. Since the Booking Terms & Conditions applicable to the single Cruise or Holiday Package are those in force at the time of completing the Booking, irrespective of those published in the brochure, it is recommended to check with the Agent or by visiting the Official website for the most up to date Booking Terms & Conditions. “Passenger” means each and every person, including minors, named either on the Booking confirmation or on the invoice or on a ticket issued by MSC Cruises.
